'World Diabetes Day is a global awareness campaign that focuses on diabetes and is held each year on November 14th. In line with this global campaign, gig-Jordan in cooperation with Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation organized an awareness lecture on Diabetes for gigs employees on 11/11/2018. Dr. Sami Haddad (Endocrinology and Diabetes Specialist) gave an educational lecture about Diabetes as a disease, in which he explained the history of the disease, its types, prevention methods, cure, food misconceptions or genetic factors of the disease. Furthermore, Dr. Haddad added that the disease is one of the most widespread diseases today which many dont consider the high risk it has on people who are not careful in dealing with this disease. Therefore, it is important to spread awareness about this disease due to the grave consequences it has on peoples lifestyles and thus slow down its spread.',
